Figures 5, 6 and 7 show the breakthrough curves for the
three TOYOPEARL GigaCap resins. They are compared
where possible with the most current equivalent competi-
tive resin. Each trace shows the dynamic binding capacity of
the resin up to 10% breakthrough plus the elution profile for
the target molecule. Please note the significant reduction
in elution pool volumes of the TOYOPEARL GigaCap resins
when compared to other products.
The concentration of the eluted peak is proportionally
increased as well. It is possible to achieve reductions in
elution pool volumes of over 75%. This can reduce the cost
of further downstream process steps.
The strong ion exchange resins TOYOPEARL GigaCap S
and GigaCap Q are now also available with smaller particle
size (S-grade, 35 µm), providing higher resolution for better
separaion of process impurities.
