CONFERENCE
ANNOUNCEMENT
The 8th HIC/RPC Bioseparation Conference will be held in the United States fromMarch 3 - 7, 2013 at Westin Savannah
Harbor Resort and Spa, in the heart of the historic River District of Savannah, Georgia. This conference follows a
successful 7th HIC/RPC meeting in Estoril near Lisbon, Portugal. The scientific committee of the 8th HIC/RPC biose-
paration conference will be headed by Professor Steven M. Cramer, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
The HIC/RPC Bioseparation Conference series, which alternates between
Europe and the US, provides a unique forum for in-depth discussions
on downstream bioprocessing. The conference is focused on the better
understanding of the hydrophobic nature of biological targets and their
chromatographic isolation and purification based on this understanding.
Traditionally the conference seeks to maintain an optimal balance of
fundamental science and industrial advances and applications.
Tosoh Bioscience is the sole sponsor of the conference and provides
support for logistics and organisation for the scientific committee. The first
announcements and call for abstracts will be starting this summer.
