Product Manager Process

 The Product Manager is responsible for product marketing and planning in the EMEA region. The ultimate goal of the role is to ensure revenue targets are reached, visibility in the market is achieved, and customer satisfaction goals are met. 

The Position manages the assigned products throughout the Product Lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product positioning and identifying application areas to define winning campaigns. In order to address relevant business fields, the Product Manager works closely with Sales, Marketing, and Tech Support. 

The person operates also on a strategic level, providing input to R&D and Global Product Management to deliver new products, improve existing ones. The Product Manager’s job includes ensuring that the product and marketing efforts support the company’s overall strategy and goals. 

The Product Manager is expected to:

  • Act as the product champion within the company 
  • Develop the core positioning and messaging for the product 
  • Be an expert with respect to the competition 
  • Develop and execute campaigns to meet MQL and visibility goals 
  • Perform product demos and seminars to customers 
  • Set pricing to achieve revenue and profitability goals 
  • Deliver a quarterly and yearly revenue forecast 
  • Develop sales tools and collateral 
  • Propose an overall budget to ensure success 
  • Brief and train the sales force regularly 


  • Minimum of 2-year experience in Product Management in a sales organization 
  • Demonstrated success driving revenue and executing effective campaigns 
  • Experience in process chromatography market is a plus 
  • Sales experience is a plus 
  • Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Bioprocessing, or Chemistry 
  • Excellent teamwork skills 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (German and English) 
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority 
  • Must be able to travel 35% of the time
