TSKgel BioAssist Q columns are packed with spherical, polymer beads with approx. 4000 Å pores. They are surface modified with a strong anion exchanger. The very large pores allow large biomolecules to freely enter and exit the pores resulting in higher binding capacity and better recovery of activity than other competivie materials. The standard column is 4.6 mm ID x 5 cm L, while a 10 mm ID x 10 cm L semi-preparative column is available for scale-up. Both columns are made of PEEK to reduce protein adsorption.
